Questions
Will screen readers read this text?
Not always. Unicode styled letters are separate symbols, so some screen readers spell them out or skip them. Use styling for a few words of emphasis, never for whole posts.
Does styled text count more characters on Bluesky?
Each styled letter is a single code point but often two UTF-16 units. Bluesky counts graphemes, so a family emoji or flag counts as one.
Why do some letters look different?
A handful of letters (like italic h or script B) live in older Unicode blocks, so fonts render them in a slightly different shape.
