YouTube Post Formatter

A writing desk built for YouTube: select words to make them bold or italic, add bullets and spacers, watch the limit gauge, and see where the feed will cut your text. Descriptions allow 5,000 characters; only the first ~150 show above the “…more” fold.

Runs 100% in your browser · nothing you enter is uploaded

How to use it

  1. Write your post in the editor.
  2. Select text and use the toolbar for bold, italic, underline or bullets.
  3. Check the preview and the limit gauge, then copy the finished post.

Questions

Is my draft saved?

Your current draft is stored only in this browser (localStorage) so a refresh doesn’t lose it. Nothing is uploaded.

What is the YouTube limit?

YouTube allows 5,000 characters. The feed truncates after about 150 characters.

Why use Unicode instead of real formatting?

YouTube strips rich text from pasted posts. Unicode styled letters are plain text, so they survive.
