X (Twitter) Bold & Italic Text

X (Twitter) has no formatting toolbar, but it happily displays Unicode letters. This bench maps every letter you type onto mathematical alphanumeric symbols, so your emphasis survives the copy-paste into X (Twitter).

Runs 100% in your browser Β· nothing you enter is uploaded

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text in the input box.
  2. Browse the live styles β€” bold, italic, bold-italic, sans, serif, script and more.
  3. Hit Copy on the style you like and paste it straight into X (Twitter).

Questions

Will screen readers read this text?

Not always. Unicode styled letters are separate symbols, so some screen readers spell them out or skip them. Use styling for a few words of emphasis, never for whole posts.

Does styled text count more characters on X (Twitter)?

Each styled letter is a single code point but often two UTF-16 units. URLs always count as 23 characters on X, and most emoji count as two.

Why do some letters look different?

A handful of letters (like italic h or script B) live in older Unicode blocks, so fonts render them in a slightly different shape.
